January 2012 sees Superdrug launch a new way of engaging with colleagues with a new web site designed to offer a new way to inform, educate and engage across the business.
Named The Hub the password protected web tool has been designed to enable colleagues to share information and contact each other much like a social net working site.
Designed by Interact, the site allows each colleague and department to host a profile allowing them to network with other employees as well as sharing news updates quickly and simply.
The site also offers opportunities for e-learning, and moving away from paper based communication obviously offers cost savings as well as speed.
Jo Mackie, AS Watson HR Director said; “The Hub is an exciting launch for our teams. We know that the vast majority of our colleagues access social media sites and websites from their computers and smart phones so this new platform enables us to talk to them in a new way.
“Obviously the site includes business information, fact sheets and files from the HR team but it’s also a great way to interact with fellow colleagues, whether this is finding like-minded people to start a running club, or asking the cosmetics buyer a quick question about a new product.”
The Hub goes live with Superdrug head office colleagues on 26th January with a roll out to to all 14,000 colleagues to follow in the early part of 2012.
