As the next decade begins, Selfridges, the UK’s leading department store presents the best kissing moments of the noughties, and predicts the next iconic pecking scenes of the ‘twenty tens’, just in time for its ‘Kissing Booth’* launch for Valentines Day.
To celebrate the best smooch scenes of the decade, Selfridges invites couples to experience their most romantic kissing moment in-store. Upon permission couples will be photographed in the exclusive Kissing Booth and entered into a competition in search for the nation’s most romantic kissing couple.
Madonna and Britney’s kissing moment at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2003 is definitely top of the hot list. The much-hyped about kiss caused a global stir with Britney commenting on how ‘amazing’ it was. A few years later, Sacha Baren Cohen continued the MTV kissing trend by planting a smacker on Will Ferrell’s lips.
The top three most famous movie kissing scenes of the decade goes to deceased Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal in the controversial film Brokeback Mountain, Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst’s upside down kiss in Spiderman and pale faced Robert Pattinson’s kiss with on screen and off screen lover Kristen Stewart in blockbuster hit Twilight.
