- Selfridges Launch Aphrodisiac Tea -
Selfridges, the UK’s leading department store is launching an aphrodisiac tea ahead of Valentine’s Day.
The Love Potion Tea Blend (priced at £11 per 100g) has been created by tea blenders ‘Blends for Friends’ using an exclusive recipe adding jasmine silver needle white tea, pink rosebuds and sweet orange flowers, proved to increase sex drive with a delicate sensual taste to drive your love one wild, sip by sip.
Having sipped his way through approximately 1.1 million cups of tea over the past 11 years, Blend for Friends’ Master Tea Blender, Alex Probyn said: “There are all sorts of herbs that are supposedly aphrodisiacs, but you can’t beat a good, pretty blend with rosebuds for Valentine’s Day.”
As the new ‘drink of love’, the Love Potion is the only Cupid you’ll need on the 14 February. But if liquorice and strawberry’s set your lovers heart racing, or perhaps lemongrass and apples then treat your loved one to a truly personal blend with each ingredient matching your loved ones personality to a tea.
Selfridges’ Grocery Buyer, Tanya McMullen commented: “We’re a nation of tea drinkers, so what better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than with a cup of our favourite hot beverage – but with a amorous twist.”
On average, Brits drink around 45,000 cups of tea in a lifetime with the age-old classic English Breakfast and the more fragrant Earl Grey still topping the popularity stakes. However, Britain’s love affair with the traditional cuppa has changed, and herbal infusions and specialty blends are becoming more the fashion.
So, show your loved one how much you adore them by waking them on Valentine’s morning with a cup of tea full of sensual aromas and plenty of romantic charm.
