Brit mania is on the rise, as Selfridges, the UK’s leading department
store celebrates a patriotic 50 per cent increase in sales of Union Jack
products across stores nationwide.
In the past two weeks, sales of Jan Constantine Union Jack cushions have
increased by 47 per cent, the Union Jack bauble is a best seller in Selfridges’
Panto themed Christmas shop with a 30 per cent uplift (year on year) and
Union Jack patterned tights by Jonathan Aston sold out within a week of
launching in Selfridges hosiery department.
In support of the current wave of ‘PAYtriotism’ sweeping the
UK, Selfridges has collaborated with iconic British outerwear brand, Barbour,
to produce a limited edition Union Jack Barbour coat, which will go on sale
later this month priced at £499
