Peacocks’ Bed-it Crunch dress up lingerie collection £12
Peacocks, the UK’s leading value retailer is celebrating a 30 per
cent increase in Valentine lingerie sales (compared to 2008) with the launch
of its ‘Bed-it Crunch’ boudoir collection.
This dress up lingerie range is aimed at recessionistas looking to add a
touch of spice to every day life and ‘what lies beneath’. Customers
can turn fantasy into reality with lingerie sets themed on traditional male
fantasies including sexy secretary, saucy waitress and seductive siren.
Each ensemble costs £12 and includes under-wired, padded chemise and
matching thong.
The fastest emerging lingerie trend is for neon. Last week, sales of fluorescent
pink ruffle mesh thongs and neon pink lace gel bras experienced 140 per
cent uplift, as seen on celebrities including Lady Gaga and Lily Allen.
Jane Hotz, Peacocks’ Buying Director said: “We believe staying
in is the new going out. Customers are spending more on fashion that adds
a touch of spice to every day life.”
