PEACOCKS STRUTS ITS STUFF IN DIFFICULT TIMES

In the face of an economic down turn Peacocks, the UK’s hottest fashion retailer is proud to announce it is defying the credit crunch with rising sales and profit.

Initial reactions to the autumn range were good with an increase in like-for-like sales by 7.3 per cent and an 11.4 per cent rise in like-for-like gross profits over the past five weeks.

Peacocks chief executive Richard Kirk says “We have seen our core customers continue to shop despite the economic conditions, but have also seen a lot of trading down by customers from higher priced mid-market retailers.
Sales have been great across all lines. Our up-to-date fashion looks at affordable prices seem to be really resonating with our customers”

Peacocks has a great mix of party, outerwear and casualwear this season. Dresses are key, with prices starting at just £16, footwear is running out the door with designer inspired styles for as little as £12 and winter coats start at just £25.

For men bright knitwear is a snip at £8, classic black trousers start at £12 and PU bomber jackets are only £30.
