Superdrug’s 2018 Christmas Press Show
That festive time of year is almost here and what better way to celebrate the magical season than with a Superdrug’s 2018 Christmas Party Press Show.
Showcasing everything a beauty lover needs under one roof at One Belgravia, the venue hosted a Halloween area packed with face, body and hair glitter and a play table overflowing with Halloween-themed stencils and a Christmas gifting zone with over 250 own brand gifts from ranges including best loved Bloom Collection, Flutter, Studio London, Bristle & Smith, Secret Santa, Bathing Lab and more. Also exhibited was a makeup section dedicated to Superdrug’s power brand B. Makeup with two expert makeup artists giving guests tips and tricks to create different looks. We also showcased Superdrug’s latest launches from skincare and haircare categories and encouraged people to play around with the different textures and formulations of the brand new products.
The press show kicked off with a panel debate to celebrate Superdrug’s #LifePlus campaign which champions beauty for women aged 50+. The panellists discussed the topic ‘why is no one talking about the menopause?’ which was chaired by Jo Elvin, editor of You Magazine, Sarah Vine, Co-Founder of Get The Gloss, Dr. Pixie McKenna and Superdrug Customer & People Director, Jo Mackie.
As the #LifePlus panel discussion ended, B. Makeup Ambassador Cassie Lomas took centre stage to share her skills and expertise in a B. Makeup masterclass. Cassie showed attendees how to achieve their #PerfectBase for an autumnal look using a selection of B. Makeup favourites.
The event also pampered guests all night by providing them with various beauty services that the retailer has to offer. The area gave guests a selection of nail treatments including File, Shape and Polish and Gel, File and Polish as well as the opportunity to groom brows with threading and shaping services on hand. An ear piercing station was also available to accessorize and decorate ears.
Anyone looking to find out more about Superdrug’s ethos couldn’t miss the incredible pillars which made up the centrepiece of the room, proudly displaying some key messaging, such as the 100% Happiness Guarantee, the Shades of Beauty Campaign, the wide offering of Cruelty Free and Vegan products available, information on the Beauty Banks bins to help combat hygiene poverty, #TheSquad messaging to showcase Superdrug’s exclusive panel of teen experts and more.
Flowing prosecco and canapes were enjoyed by guests as they browsed the different areas of the venue and played around with the GIF booth which was complete with an array of disco balls as the backdrop. Overall, it was a night to remember and we can’t wait for next year’s Christmas press show! Bring on 2019!
