– The health and beauty retailer creates over 150 jobs –

Superdrug is championing the high street with 13 new store openings over the summer. Since June the health and beauty retailer has opened new stores in Glasgow Chester, Liverpool and Leeds and has plans for eight more in locations including Bolton, Newcastle and London. The first ever Superdrug on the Channel Islands is also opening on Jersey on 15th August.

The new stores have created over 120 jobs, and the retailer has plans to open 14 more stores by the end of the year, bringing a further 150 jobs. In addition the retailer is expanding its Beauty Studio services proposition which will see a further 100 jobs created for professional Nail Technicians and Beauty Therapists by the end of the year.

Beauty Studio areas generally host a Brow & Lash Bar and Nail Bar where customers will find a menu of professional treatments including tinting, eyebrow shaping, threading, waxing, and nail services. Other beauty services available in selected stores include ear and nose piercing. Superdrug currently has 330 Brow Bars and 112 Nail Bars across the UK with 80 stores offering piercing services, as well as 63 stores offering a Nurse Clinic providing vaccinations and advice.
