Online Marketplace Fruugo Helps Retailers Worldwide Reach New Shoppers in Time of Crisis

As countries across the world intensify their efforts to slow down the spread of Covid-19, a vast majority of retailers are having to close all their shops and rely on online sales only until further notice. Last night (23 March) PM Boris Johnson became the latest leader to announce a national-level shutdown of non-essential shops, following in the footsteps of countries such as Italy, France and Germany where similar regulations are already in place.

Online marketplace Fruugo is doing all that it can to make it easier for retailers to reach shoppers worldwide in this time of crisis, by waiving its joining fee and offering a free marketing boost to new sellers* that come on board in the next month, and announcing its expansion into fourteen new countries**.  As a global marketplace, Fruugo already reaches over four billion online shoppers in more than 40 countries across the globe.

Currently, sellers who are joining Fruugo would usually pay a £995 fee when they join the platform, however the marketplace has noticed a boost in sales across many of its categories and wants to help other businesses see these positive effects. Likewise sales of health and wellbeing products including vitamins and supplements are also seeing strong growth.
